Van Sorgen

Van Sorgen is an Autodidact producer, Sound Designer, Live Performer and Illustrator.

His sounds contain Detroit Techno and Rave influences, with typical percussive undertones of the house style, often associated with Ambient and dark sounds. His Trademark is the "environment" as an exploration of both Natural and Industrial sites The acquisition of sounds is expressed as everything around the "space" matters.

A sound designer by profession, Van Sorgen has lent his expertise to various notable brands over the years, including Capcom USA, Valentino Gravani, Paul Mitchell, and Microsoft, where he contributed to their global advertising campaigns in sound Branding.

A true passion for field recordings has led Van Soren's latest and most anticipated projects to the release of the twelve tracks Album named 'Nature In Motion' in 2018. It's a fusion of techno culture and Cinematic Ambient/Drone influences His art which also includes handmade comics, canvases, toys and sound instruments, digital arts and more is currently exposed in Amsterdam's galleries. His work is strongly bound to the concepts and roots of the "Techno Movement" and "Acid/Rave" Cultures.

Van Sorgen released his music on labels such as Planet Rhythm, Motech Records, Flash Recordings Hijacked Records Detroit, Frequenza Records, Berlin Aufnahmen and Trash Records.
