Siem Gilaard


Siem is a Mandala artist working from her studio in the bohemian quarter of Amsterdam called “De Pijp” where most streets are named after Dutch painters. 

It is a culturally diverse neighbourhood with a village vibe and birthplace to actors, musicians and artists. 


Siem gets her inspiration from her surroundings and finds the weeks long artistic process a very peaceful and relaxing journey.


The mandalas are 100% hand-painted on canvas. 

Her artwork is inspired by a spiritual and meditative feeling which develops as she creates each mandala from the centre outwards.

 

Siem hopes her Mandalas will inspire you to calm down, open your heart and enjoy their individual beauty.
