Marius Strugariu, born in Romania on the 9th of February 1983, is a talented artist who graduated from The National University of Fine Arts in Bucharest, specializing in Fashion Design in 2006.
In June 2008, Marius had his first opportunity to exhibit his artwork at the Siberie Coffee-shop-Gallery in Amsterdam. His personal exhibition titled "Show, Be, Eat!" was a great success and ran for a month. The collection of works exhibited was a retrospective of the time spent at the university of arts and consisted of graphic, drawing, painting and photography works.
In October 2012, he received the proposition to exhibit a series of 6 new paintings called “Tabula Rasa” in an international group exhibition “Art for Everyone” organized by Art Atena in Loods 6, Amsterdam.
On 2015 the 14th of March, the Gallery B32 from Maastricht selected his art project “Ab Origine” to represent it during European Art Event TEFAF (The European Art Fair 2015), curated by Claudia Falutoiu and Lorelei Gumeni.
In 2015, he has been selected by the committee of the Transilvania Art Organization to create a mural work during SISAF 2015 (The International Street Art Festival) on one wall of the School “Nicolae Iorga” Sibiu that is still on display.
In 2017, he has been invited to exhibit the “Ab Origine” Project in the cultural space The Blu'zz patronized by Catalin Chirila (Film Critic and Journalist). In 2017, 23rd of May he exhibited 4 paintings in a group Exhibition organized by Noblesse Palace Fusion Arts, an Event that was part of Romanian Design Week - RDW2017. In 2017, 22nd of October more works from “Tabula Rasa” and “Ab Ortigine” were selected for a Sound-Video Project “The Zone of SoundFiction” initiated by AFC, The Romanian Cultural Institute in association with The Austrian Cultural Forum that consisted of 6 Classical Concerts inspired by the artworks in the main Opera Houses from Romania, the Romanian Athene being the place that hosted the Vernisaj.
In 2018 his painting ”Self-portrait in Space” was selected for the group exhibition CentenArt- Salon de Beaux-Arts 2018 which celebrated 100 years of Contemporary Art in the Independent Romania, curated by Pavel Susara.
Presently, the WiHH Galery is hosting 4 works within its current group exhibition.
